GUVI’s Transformative AI Assistant Training Program at Muthayammal College

The demand for Artificial Intelligence (AI) professionals is surging in today’s tech-driven world. To bridge the gap between academic learning and industry needs, GUVI, a leading ed-tech platform, collaborated with Muthayammal College of Arts and Science, Namakkal District, to conduct a transformative AI Assistant training program.

Held over a week, starting on 23rd December, the program provided 134 enthusiastic learners with a hands-on learning experience in AI technologies. It aimed to empower students with critical AI skills, enabling them to thrive in an AI-driven future.

Program Highlights

The training journey unfolded over five intensive days, offering learners a comprehensive understanding of AI fundamentals, advanced techniques, and real-world applications. From exploring LLM architecture to developing generative multimedia and AI assistants, each session blended theory with hands-on practice to foster impactful learning.

Day 1: Introduction to LLM

The journey began with an Introduction to AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), providing an overview of the transformer model and LLM architecture. Learners also got hands-on experience setting up Python environments, laying a strong foundation for the days ahead.

Day 2: Integrating LLM and API

Participants explored LLM APIs, mastered setting up a local LLM environment using LangChain, and took their first steps in chatbot development. This session marked the beginning of building practical AI solutions.

Day 3: Advanced Techniques and Fine-Tuning

The focus shifted to dataset preparation, advanced prompt engineering, and optimization techniques. These advanced concepts enabled learners to refine AI models for specific tasks and achieve better performance.

Day 4: Generative Multimedia from Text

Participants explored the fascinating realm of Generative AI with tools for text-to-image, text-to-video, and text-to-audio generation, including Stable Diffusion and Text-to-Speech (TTS).

Day 5: Capstone Project and Career Opportunities

The program concluded with a Capstone Project, where learners built their own AI Assistant. They also gained insights into career opportunities in AI and explored future trends in the field.

This Event’s success resulted from the dedicated coordination by GUVI’s College to Corporate (C2C) team. Led by Banuprakash M, with Anandan Rajamanickam & Lakshamana Narayan assisting in organizing, the team worked tirelessly to ensure all deliverables were met smoothly. The team including Vinoth, Swathy Suriyababu, Arun Shukla, Rajib Kumar Lakra, and Athulya Pradeep, coordinated from behind the scenes, ensuring seamless event execution. This dedicated team effort, from logistics to real-time support, helped create a meaningful and impactful student experience.
